Bristol, R.I. (Dec. 13, 2025) — The UMass Boston Beacons earned a convincing 96–71 victory over the Roger Williams University Hawks on Saturday, snapping the Hawks' three-game winning streak in dominant fashion.
Three Beacons topped the 20-point mark, with a fourth reaching double figures. Cameron Perkins led all scorers with 26 points, followed closely by Raphel Laurent with 25. Steven Cordero posted a career-high 23 points, highlighted by a 4-for-5 performance from beyond the arc. Cordero also led UMass Boston with four steals, while Davon Sanders chipped in 16 points.
UMass Boston was flawless at the free-throw line, converting all 13 attempts. The Beacons also controlled the boards, out-rebounding the Hawks 32–28, with Laurent leading the way with eight rebounds.
