Garceau Wins Second LEC Track Athlete of the Week After Ice Breaker Performance

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (January 19, 2026) – The Little East Conference announced its weekly track and field awards on Monday, with UMass Boston sprinter and reigning NCAA Division III champion Aryianna Garceau (Dalton, Mass.) earning her second LEC Track Athlete of the Week honor of the season following an outstanding showing at the Suffolk University Ice Breaker Invitational.

Garceau claimed first place in the 60-meter hurdles, clocking a time of 8.58 seconds in the finals. The mark currently has her tied for first nationally in NCAA Division III. She also secured a first-place finish in the 200-meter dash, posting a time of 24.86 seconds, which ranks eighth in the nation.

Garceau and the UMass Boston track and field team return to competition on Saturday at the MIT Gordon Kelly Invitational, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
