PROVIDENCE, R.I. (April 30, 2025) – UMass Boston junior hurdler Aryianna Garceau (Dalton, Mass.) has been named the 2025 Little East Conference Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year, the league office announced Wednesday. Garceau earns the honor for the second straight season, completing a rare sweep of both indoor and outdoor track athlete of the year awards in back-to-back seasons.
Garceau's dominant outdoor campaign was capped by a triple-gold performance at the 2025 LEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, where she claimed titles in the 100m dash(11.91), 100m hurdles (13.81), and 200m dash (24.27). She also set a meet record in the 100m hurdles and tied the UMass Boston school record in the event earlier in the season with a time of 13.80.
A four-time LEC Track Athlete of the Week this spring, Garceau went undefeated against regular-season Division III competition for the second consecutive season. The reigning national champion continues to build on her legacy as one of the top sprinters and hurdlers in the country, as well as the Beacons' history books.
Garceau and the Beacons now turn their attention to the 2025 NCAA Division III East Regional Championships, set for next Friday and Saturday at the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn.
