PROVIDENCE, R.I. (April 14, 2025) – After a pair of dominant first-place finishes at the Westfield State University Jerry Gravel Invitational on Sunday, April 13, junior Aryianna Garceau (Dalton, Mass.) has been named the Little East Conference Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week for the third time this season.
Garceau took gold in both the women's 200-meter dash and the 100-meter hurdles in Westfield. In the hurdles, she clocked a blazing 14.09 seconds—ranking her first in the LEC, first in NCAA Division III New England, and fifth nationally. She followed up that performance with a personal-best 24.72 in the 200m, good for first place and a current No. 1 LEC and No. 2 DIII New England ranking.
Garceau and the Beacons are just two weeks away from the LEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by UMass Dartmouth on Saturday, April 26. The team will wrap up its regular season this weekend with a split squad at the Bonnie Edmondson Classic at Eastern Connecticut State in Willimantic, Conn. (Friday, April 18), and the UConn Northeast Challenge in Storrs, Conn. (Saturday, April 19).
