Boston, MA – The University of Massachusetts Boston Department of Athletics and Recreation has announced the dates for its second annual Beacons Day of Giving, scheduled for April 9-11. 

 
This digital fundraising initiative offers all Beacon supporters the chance to come together and make a meaningful impact on the lives of current and future UMass Boston student-athletes. During the inaugural Beacons Day of Giving in 2024, UMass Boston saw unprecedented success, securing gifts from 1,067 donors, with a combined impact totaling over $64,000. 

 
"The results of our inaugural Day of Giving in 2024 were amazing," said Scott Netkovick, Deputy Athletic Director for Strategic Advancement. "Our department and teams are excited about the opportunity to reconnect with alumni and friends of their programs to help elevate every aspect of what we do. We're also thrilled to expand the areas of support during this year's campaign, including the opportunity for donors to contribute to areas like Campus Recreation and the Mac Singleton Fund."
