Boston, MA (Mar. 14, 2025) --- The UMass Boston women's lacrosse team starts conference play for the first time in history when they travel to Keene, New Hampshire to take on the Owls to kick off LEC play.

Beacons 

• The UMass Boston Beacons are off to a perfect 4-0 start to begin their second season as a program, and their first season competing under the LEC banner. 

• The Beacons have scored double-digit goals in every game while keeping their opponents to under ten goals. In their most recent win over the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, the Beacons scored the most goals they ever have as a program (15) while allowing the least number of goals against (4). 

• Hannah Rich (Rockland, Mass.) leads the team with goals (15) and points (18). 

• Both Rae Alexander (Georgia, VT) and Jamie McAleavey (Quincy, Mass.) share the lead for assists with four. 

• Teresa Sheedy (Quincy, Mass.), Angelina Mazzone (Beverly, Mass.), and McAleavey have all recorded over 10 draw control wins this season with McAleavey leading the way with 20. 

Owls 

• The Owls are coming off a 13-10 win over Western New England. In that game Lola Smith scored three goals for Keene State. 

• Their only loss this season has been against Smith, where they fell on the road 11-9. That was the only game this season where the Owls failed to score double digit goals. 

• Tess Brown leads the team with goals (16), assists (11), points (27), and ground balls (22).
