Boston, MA (March 13, 2025) – Three former UMass Boston men's ice hockey players are continuing their careers in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL).
Kevin Sadovski (Palm Coast, F.L.) has signed with the Quad City Storm out of Illinois as a defenseman for the remainder of the season. Sadovski wrapped up his UMass Boston career with 10 goals and 14 assists over two seasons. This year, he led the team with 41 blocked shots. Notably, two of his three goals on the season were power-play markers, and all three were game-winners.
Michael Krupinski (Dallas, Texas) is currently playing defense for the Macon Mayhem in Macon, Georgia. In his four seasons, Krupinski has appeared in 85 games, scoring six goals and 21 assists. This season, he ranks second on the team in assists with 11. As a Beacon, Krupinski netted three game-winning goals, including two this season.

Ryan Leonard (Duxbury, Mass.) is also continuing his professional career as a defenseman with the Knoxville Ice Bears in Knoxville, Tennessee. Leonard has played in 29 games over his two seasons, registering eight points, including two game-winning goals for the Beacons.
