Henniker, N.H. (November 14, 2025) – Junior forward Jakub Teply (Stamford, Conn.) scored twice as UMass Boston men's ice hockey (2-1-0, 1-0-0 Little East Conference) delivered a commanding 4–0 road win over New England College (1-3-0, 0-3-0 LEC) in Friday evening's conference matchup.
The Beacons struck twice in the opening period, capped by a tally from sophomore Jacob Roberson (Jacksonville, Fla.) just before the first intermission, assisted by Robertson and Jack Ford (Middletown, Del.).
Despite a combined 37 shots in the second period, neither side found the back of the net, with UMass Boston generating 23 attempts to the Pilgrims' 14 while maintaining its 2–0 advantage heading into the final frame.
Teply added his second goal eight minutes into the third period, assisted by Kyle Isenberg (Anaheim, Calif.) and Ford, before assistant captain Jude Kurtas (Hillsborough, N.J.) closed out the scoring with two minutes remaining. Chris Merryman (Peabody, Mass.) and Rhett Kodsi (Boca Raton, Fla.) picked up assists on the final goal.
Teply and Ford led the Beacons offensively, with Teply potting a pair and Ford registering two assists. Both finished the night at +3. Jack Mortson (Detroit, Mich.) dominated the faceoff circle with a team-high 16 wins, while Connor McDonough (Mendham, N.J.) secured a shutout in his debut.
UMass Boston returns to LEC play on Saturday (Nov. 15) with a road matchup at Plymouth State in Plymouth, N.H., closing out the week's conference slate.
