PROVIDENCE, R.I. (February 3, 2025) – The Little East Conference announced this week's weekly awards with the Beacons' junior hurdler
Aryianna Garceau (Dalton, Mass.) once again being selected to the honorees for her hand in the Beacons' first-place finish at the Yankee Small College Invite from Smith College on Saturday.
The Beacons scored 134 total points on Saturday, with Garceau contributing to 30 of them through first-place finishes in three events.
She scored ten points in a first-place finish in the 200m dash with a 25.75s mark, and another ten points as the leadoff leg in the women's 4x400m relay team, who finished in first with a 4:32.97s finish for another ten points.
In her primary event, the 60m hurdles, Garceau continued her tear on the UMass Boston record books. She finished first place in the 60m finals with a blistering 8.56s finish to shatter her previous record set earlier this season in January (8.65s). Garceau still sits firmly in first place as the nation's leading NCAA DIII hurdler and is tied with three other athletes for the 16

Garceau will travel separately this week to represent UMass Boston at the Harvard Crimson Elite Invitational on Friday, February 7.
