PROVIDENCE, R.I. (January 13, 2025) -- Junior 60m hurdler Aryianna Garceau (Dalton, Mass.) is this week's Little East Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week for her record-breaking performance at the Suffolk Ice Breaker Invitational on Saturday, January 11. 

Garceau opened Saturday's meeting in the 60m hurdle preliminary races with a new personal best of 8.76 seconds, surpassing her previous record by 0.03s (8.79) to set a new school record in the event. Garceau finished first in her heat to cruise onto the finals race, where she would line up against six other NCAA Division I hurdlers.

Garceau placed second in the finals heat with an 8.65s finish to set another new PR and school record and also set a new NCAA DIII lead in the event the season.

Garceau and the Beacons' Track and Field team will tighten up the spikes again this Saturday, January 18, in Waltham, MA, for the Reggie Payou Memorial Invitational, hosted by Brandies University. Complete meet information will be available soon.
