PROVIDENCE, R.I. (December 9, 2024) – Junior sprinter on the Beacons' women's track team, Aryianna Garceau was selected as this week's Little East Conference Runner of the Week, for her stellar performance in the Beacons' Season Opener from the TRACK at New Balance on Sunday, December 8.

On Sunday, Garceau won first place individually in two separate events. In the 60m Hurdles, she broke her previous school record of 8.90s, set in February 2024, with a new personal best of 8.79s, which currently has her ranked second in the nation for DIII in the event.

Furthermore, Garceau also won the women's 200m dash individually with a first-place finish of 25.47s, which is suitable for another career-best. The first 200m dash of the indoor season has Garceau ranked eighth in the nation for her secondary event.

Garceau and the Beacons track and field teams will resume their activities on January 18th, following the holiday break, for the Reggie Payou Memorial Invitational meeting in Waltham, Massachusetts, hosted by Brandies College. Stay tuned for further information.
