UMass Boston Athletics and Recreation Launches the Beacon Club

Boston, MA – The University of Massachusetts Boston Department of Athletics and Recreation is excited to announce the official launch of the Beacon Club, the official annual giving program in support of UMass Boston Athletics.

The Beacon Club will provide critical support to our more than 325 student-athletes across 20 NCAA Division III programs.

Key areas of the department that are supported by gifts to the Beacon Club include:

Holistic Sport Performance/Wellness Model – A program that meets the multifaceted needs of student-athletes to support their ability to reach their highest potential.  This comprehensive approach to care provides student-athletes with access to leading mental health, sport performance, and sport medicine professionals, nutrition education and resources, and advanced technology, helping them excel both on and off the field.

Student-Athlete Development – Programs designed to foster and hone leadership skills.

Team Operations & Travel – Opportunities for teams to travel outside the region, broadening student-athletes' competitive opportunities and experiences and increasing the reach of university visibility.  Additionally, providing support to outfit our student-athletes with the look of elite championship level programs and more access to equipment and apparel that is designed for high performance.

Facility Upgrades – Investments in maintaining and improving our athletic facilities to provide a top-tier environment for training, competition, and fan experience.

Memberships begin at just $100, with all funds directly benefiting our student-athletes.
