BOSTON, MA (January 29 2024) – UMass Boston junior sprinter Dorinda Okorji continues to light the path for a memorable 2024 indoor campaign, as her performance at the Wesleyan Indoor Invite from Middletown, CT was enough to earn her Little East Conference Track Athlete of the Wek honors as announced on Monday.

Okorji doubled at the Wesleyan Invite, taking to the 60m dash and the long jump runway. Okorji dropped a blistering 7.96 to put her through to the finals heat, where she followed herself up with a 7.92, good for first place at the meet outright.

Okorji also flew for a distance of 4.86m (15' 11.5") at the long jump pit, as her final attempt was the best of the day, enough to earn her third place among 13 other total competitors.

Okorji will look to keep the gears turning along with the rest of the Beacons' track and field team at the Boston University Valentine's Meet on Saturday, February 10 from Boston University. Results can
