HOW IT HAPPENED
For the second straight week, the Women's 100 Meter Hurdles went to standout freshman Aryianna Garceau who finished in a time of 15.66 seconds, just .01 seconds off from her personal best. Garceau has already recorded a qualifying time for NCAA Division III New Englands in the event. The freshman also placed second in the Women's 100 Meter Dash with a personal best of 13.10 seconds as well as second in the Women's High Jump with a leap of four feet, nine inches.

Sophomore Dorinda Okorji would take the Women's High Jump for the first time in her collegiate career, as she would also jump four feet, nine inches in the event like her teammate Garceau, but clear the bar on the first try at each of the first three heights. Okorji notched a fourth-place finish in the Women's 400 Meter Run with a time of 1:05.54, a new personal best this season, and a second-place finish in the Women's Long Jump with a 15-foot, 9.5-inch leap.

Freshman Harleen Bassan and sophomore Elia Velez competed in the Women's 400 Meter Run alongside Okorji, placing in fifth and sixth with times of 1:07.55 and 1:11.05 which helped add onto the Beacons' point total for the afternoon.
Sophomores Grace Colon and Sarah Campbell finished back-to-back in the Women's 1,500 Meter Run with both runners smashing their personal bests. Finishing in third, Colon came across the line in 5:35.16 while Campbell did so in 6:00.82 for a fourth-place finish.

Junior Charlotte Millette set a personal best as well in the Women's 400 Meter Hurdles en route to a fifth-place finish. Millette notched four points for UMass Boston with a time of 1:19.83, beating her previous mark of 1:20.45 set at the Regis Spring Classic.

Freshman Kaitlyn Chirkis continued her trend of breaking her own personal bests this season, setting a new mark in the Women's Shot Put with a 28-foot, 5.5-inch throw which gave her team a point after her 11th-place finish. Chirkis added on another three points in the Women's Discus with her 29.40-meter throw which placed her seventh overall.

Freshman Racquel Batista Viera broke her personal best in the Women's Discus, hurling the disc over 110 feet which surpassed her previous best by just about 10 feet last week. Batista Viera finished in fifth place, earning UMass Boston four points.
