BOSTON, Mass. – Freshman
Kaitlyn Chirkis led the way for UMass Boston Women's Outdoor Track and Field at the Tufts Snowflake Classic on Saturday, finishing fourth overall in the Women's Javelin Throw with a distance of 30.90 meters, netting the Beacons five of their 14 points in the meet.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In addition to her javelin debut, Chirkis also competed in the Women's Shot Put, placing 15
th overall with a distance of 8.61 meters, the best performance in the event among all Beacon competitors in the event.
Sophomore
Grace Colon tacked on four more points for UMass Boston with a fifth-place finish in a time of 43:23.75 for the Women's 10,000 Meter Run.
Freshman
Aryianna Garceau continued her impressive freshman campaign, qualifying for the Women's 100 Meter Hurdle Finals after placing fifth in the preliminaries with a time of 16.54 seconds. In the finals, Garceau netted the Beacons their final five points of the day with a fourth-place finish in a time of 16.39 seconds.
