Okorji Wins 60 Meter Dash at Reggie Payou Memorial Invite for Women's Indoor Track

BOSTON, Mass. – UMass Boston Women's Indoor Track returned to action after winter break on Saturday at the Reggie Payou Memorial Invitational. The Beacons finished eighth out of the 11 teams that competed in the meet.

HOW IT HAPPENED 
 
Sophomore Dorinda Okorji won the Women's 60 Meter Dash, over three Division II athletes, with a time of 7.99 seconds, beating her personal best for the season of 8.12 seconds set back at the Suffolk Relays earlier this year. Freshman Aryianna Garceau finished fifth in the same event with a time of 8.09 seconds.

Garceau also took home points for the Beacons in the Women's 60 Meter Hurdles with a 9.96 second finish.

WHAT'S NEXT  
 
The Beacons head to New York next week for a Friday meet at the Ramapo College Season Opener.
