BOSTON, Mass. – In their final two meets of the 2022 outdoor regular season, the Beacons competed at the Eastern Connecticut State University Invitational on Friday and the MIT Sean Collier Invitational on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In Mansfield, Connecticut, Kenny Dera led the Beacons in the 100-meter dash with a 13
th place and his final time of 11.83 seconds.
Sebastian Gomez and
Justin Yue tripped the sensor with times of 12.14 and 12.39 respectively.
JahMare White Savage led the Beacons in the 200-meter dash as he crossed the finish line in 12
th place with a time of 24.34. Denny finished .04 seconds behind his teammate to take 13
th place. Gomez registered a time of 24.82, while Yue posted a time of 25.83.
Ian McGrath earned a top-10 finish in the 400-meter dash with his time of 55.37 seconds. Senior
Jonathan Hodge earned a time of 2:07.55 in the 800-meter run to take 13
th place overall.
Zeph Alvarado claimed a sixth-place finish in the 3,000-meter run with his time of 10:20.42.
The 4x100-meter relay team of Gomez, Dera, Yue, and White Savage recorded a combined time of 46.77 seconds to earn a sixth place finish overall.
Arthur Grant was the lone Beacon to compete in the shot put with his final throw measured at 31-05.75 feet. Matthew Arnold led four Beacons throwers in the javelin with his final throw marked at 100-06 feet. Grant finished behind his teammate with a throw of 96-04 feet, while Yue and McGrath posted distances of 78-01 and 76-01 feet respectively.
In Cambridge, Gomez recorded a time of 12.00 seconds in the 100, while Yue finished with a time of 12.72 seconds. Hodge led the Beacons in the 200-meter dash with his time of 24.01 seconds to earn a top-20 finish alongside White Savage who finished with a time of 24.33 seconds. Hodge sprinted his way to a 12
th place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.08 seconds. McGrath earned a 16
th place finish in the 400 after tripping the sensor with a time of 54.91 seconds.

The Beacons will compete at the Little East Conference Outdoor Championship Meet next Saturday on the campus of UMass Dartmouth.
