BOSTON, Mass. – In the first competition of their 2022-23 season, UMass Boston Women's Indoor Track competed in the Suffolk Relays on Saturday, finishing 5
th overall and second among NCAA Division III teams at the meet.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Sophomore
Dorinda Okorji scored five points for UMass Boston, finishing 4
th overall in the Women's 60 Meter Finals with a time of 8.12, just .12 seconds behind Merrimack College junior Jahaida Gabriel.
Freshman Angelina Mazzone turned in a strong debut performance in the Women's 600 Meter Run, finishing 2
nd overall behind fellow freshman Emily Green from Emmanuel College in a time of 1:58.60 to get eight points for UMass Boston. Mazzone was just under a second behind Green's 1:57.34 finish for the win.
Sophomore
Harleen Bassan came in 12 seconds off the pace in the Women's 800 Meter Run, finishing 3
rd overall in a time of 2:46.62 to record six points for the Beacons.
Freshman
Jacqueline Earner debuted in the Women's 1,000 Meter Run and placed 4
th overall in a time of 3:35:08 to give UMass Boston five more points to their afternoon total. Earner also competed in the mile run, placing 12
th overall in a time of 5:51:97.
