Box Score WALTHAM, Mass. – Baseball notched their seventh straight win thanks to a combined eight runs through the first three innings as the eighth ranked Beacons earned an 11-4 win over Brandeis University Tuesday afternoon at Stein Diamond.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Beacons used home runs from Chris Fowler (Barnstable, Mass.), Wanderson Pinales (Bani, D.R.), and Dave Murphy (Plymouth, Mass.) to cruise to the victory. Fowler started the day off with his first grand slam of the year to make it 4-0 Beacons. In the second inning Pinales hit his first home run as a Beacon to put to UMB up 5-0. After adding three more runs in the third, and two more in the fifth, Murphy clinched the win in the eighth with a solo home run, his third in the last three games.
On the hill Joey Rogers (Dighton, Mass.) picked-up his third win (3-1) of the season, after allowing just three runs, two earned, on five hits. The sophomore also had two strikeouts and two walks. From there Ben Gottesman (Acton, Mass.), Ryan Grande (Pittsfield, Mass.), and Bryan Kaufman (Farmingdale, N.Y.) closed out the final four innings, and recorded a total of four strikeouts respectively.
Charlie Huegi (Sandy Hook, Conn.) also had a solid day at the plate for the Beacons as he finished 3-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored. Ryan McCormick (Cumberland, R.I.) was the only other Beacon to record an extra base hit as he recorded a double.
Jackson Carman was handed his second loss of the year after lasting just one inning in what was a staff day for the Judges pitching staff.
BY THE NUMBERS
- With the win head coach Brendan Eygabroat now sits one win away from his 300th career victory as the Beacons skipper
- Tuesday's contest marked the fourth straight game that UMB has recorded at-least two home runs in a single game
