Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

BOSTON, Mass. (March 26, 2026) – UMass Boston (7-3) delivered a statement on the road, sweeping Emmanuel College in a non-conference doubleheader at Clemente Field. The Beacons erupted for a season-high 13 runs in a 13-1, five-inning opener before riding an 11-strikeout shutout from Izzy Levasseur (Amesbury, Mass.) to a 3-0 victory in Game 2. Lauren Miner (Millbury, Mass.) and Hayley Krockta (Taunton, Mass.) drove the attack in Game 1 as UMass Boston notched its first true away wins of the 2026 season.

How It Happened:

• Game 1 opened with Miner blasting a solo home run in the first, and Sofie Richland (Burlington, Vt.) crossing on Krockta's sacrifice fly in the third. The Beacons broke the game open with an 11-run fifth inning, capped by Krockta's grand slam and Miner's three-run double, as seven different players recorded RBIs. Lexus McIntosh (Lancaster, N.H.) scattered three hits over five innings for the run-rule win.
• Game 2 was a pitchers' duel until the fifth, when UMass Boston took advantage of two Emmanuel errors and a wild pitch to score all three runs. Ella Delisle (Amesbury, Mass.), Liv Wentworth (Fitchburg, Mass.) and Keira Howley (Abington, Mass.) all came home in the frame. Levasseur was dominant in the circle, striking out 11 and allowing just two hits in a complete-game shutout.

By the Numbers:

• The Beacons set a season high with 13 runs scored and an 11-run inning in the opener—both firsts for the 2026 campaign.
•Miner finished Game 1 with three hits, four RBIs, a home run and a stolen base. Krockta notched five RBIs, including a grand slam, while Richland reached base in all four plate appearances and scored three times.
• Levasseur's 11 strikeouts in Game 2 marked the best by a Beacon pitcher this season and led to the team's first road shutout of 2026.
• The Beacons racked up six stolen bases across both games, with contributions from Miner, Krockta, Richland, Wentworth and Amaya Rodriguez (Indio, Calif.).
• UMass Boston is now 7-3 overall, snapping a two-game losing streak and picking up its first away wins after eight neutral-site contests to open the year.

What's Next:

The Beacons travel to Providence for their Little East Conference opener, a doubleheader at Rhode Island College on Saturday, March 28. First pitch is set for 2:00 p.m.
