MANCHESTER, Conn. (September 6, 2025) – Seniors Robert Cannon (Quincy, Mass.) and Shea Roche (Weymouth, Mass.) led the UMass Boston men's and women's cross country teams at the Trinity Bantam Invitational, as the Beacons continued their progression into the 2025 season.

Men's Team:
Cannon and Skye Roberts Clarke (Boston, Mass.) were the only two competitors for the Beacons in the men's 5k. Cannon placed 57th overall out of 100 runners with a time of 18:20.3, while Roberts Clarke followed in 18:41.8.

Women's Team:
Roche once again paced the Beacons with a strong 12th-place finish out of 98 runners, crossing in 20:48.7. Senior Jacqueline Earner (Abington, Mass.) was the second Beacon across the line in 22:02.30, followed by sophomores Kylee Browning (Attleboro, Mass.) in 26:00.00 and Abigail Churchill (Attleboro, Mass.) in 26:33.50.

UMass Boston will see its first test against Little East Conference competition next Saturday, September 20, at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational. Race time is set for 10:30 a.m.
