PROVIDENCE, R.I. (October 14, 2025) – UMass Boston senior Shea Roche (Weymouth, Mass.) has been named the Little East Conference Runner of the Week following her standout performance at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championships in Henniker, Maine.

Roche once again led the Beacons, finishing as the team's top runner for the fourth consecutive meet. She placed 48th overall out of 281 competitors across all three NCAA divisions, clocking an 18:48.80 on the 5K course — nearly a two-minute personal best. Her performance continues a dominant stretch as she gears up for postseason competition with aspirations of qualifying for nationals.

Roche and the Beacons will compete once more before the LEC Championships in Keene, N.H., on Saturday, November 1. Next weekend, they head to New London, Conn., for the Connecticut College Invitational.
