BOSTON, MA (March 7, 2025) – Junior hurdler
Aryianna Garceau (Dalton, Mass.) will lace up for the 60m hurdles on Saturday, March 8, at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) All-New England Indoor Championships from the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, MA, for her final test before punching her ticket to the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships on March 14-15.
The NEICAAA All-New England Championships will feature qualifiers from within the New England Region, among universities across all three NCAA Division levels.
To qualify for the 60m Hurdles, athletes needed to run 9.25s or better to be eligible to compete.
Garceau is currently seeded third in a field of 30 athletes with a time of 8.56s, three one-hundredths of a second behind the top-seeded Ella Grey of Holy Cross (NCAA DI), who is seeded first in 8.53s.
Garceau has shattered the UMass Boston 60m hurdle record three times this indoor season, with her personal best arriving in February, where she ran a then NCAA DIII leading 8.56s at the Yankee Small College Invitational. Before the YSC Invite, she broke the previous record for the first time of the season in December at the Beacons' Season Opener, where she ran 8.79s. Following 8.79s, she shattered the record once again at the Suffolk Relays, finishing in 8.65s. Now, she enters the All-New England Championships ranked second in the nation for NCAA DIII, just 0.02s behind the national leader, as she looks to make a final push among New England's finest.
Tomorrow, Garceau will run the 60m Hurdles preliminary at 10:30 (Heat seven, lane three), with the finals scheduled for 11:45. The event will not be live-streamed, but you can follow along with live results at the link
