Baltimore, MD (Mar. 21, 2025) — The UMass Boston Beacons capped off their spring break trip with a dominant 19-1 victory over the Gators of Notre Dame of Maryland University on Friday night, delivering a historic performance. The Beacons set an all-time low for goals allowed in a game (one) and a program-high for goals scored (19).
How It Happened
Following a narrow loss earlier in the week, the Beacons left no doubt on Friday, rattling off 17 consecutive goals to secure the win.
Ava Duffy (Quincy, Mass.) led the charge with a career-high five goals and two assists for a seven-point performance. Hannah Rich (Rockland, Mass.) contributed four goals, keeping her season-long hat trick streak intact and also added her fifth assist of the year. Rich now has 25 goals this season.
Jamie McAleavey (Quincy, Mass.) also scored four goals, marking a career-high and extending her streak to two consecutive games with a hat trick. Teresa Sheedy (Quincy, Mass.) netted her first career hat trick, scoring her tenth goal of the season and added an assist.
Emily Pearl (Orleans, Mass.) contributed a goal (her fifth of the season) and two assists, bringing her season total to four helpers. Kheiara Vilus (Brockton, Mass.) added her second goal of the season, and to cap off the scoring, Angela Humphries (West Haven, CT.) scored her first career goal on her lone shot of the game, bringing the final tally to 19.
