Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Senior Day Comeback Falls Just Short Against Corsairs

BOSTON, Mass. (February 18, 2026) – The UMass Boston men's basketball team (16-9, 12-4 LEC) fell to UMass Dartmouth (13-11, 7-8 LEC), 95-90, on Wednesday evening at the Clark Athletic Center Gymnasium in the Little East Conference regular season home finale and Senior Day. With the result, the Beacons stand at 16-9 overall and 12-4 in conference play and will await Saturday's league outcomes to determine their postseason seeding.

UMass Boston set the tone early, controlling tempo with crisp ball movement and efficient perimeter shooting. Cameron Perkins (Danbury, Conn.) and Raphel Laurent (Peabody, Mass.) combined for six first-half three-pointers as the Beacons built a 13-point advantage and carried a 41-34 lead into halftime.

Out of the break, UMass Boston continued to generate quality offensive looks while UMass Dartmouth methodically trimmed the deficit. The Corsairs evened the score on a layup with just over five minutes remaining before taking the lead on the ensuing possession, setting up a tightly contested finish.

Despite foul trouble limiting the rotation in the second half, the Beacons remained within striking distance into the final possessions. UMass Boston shot 50 percent from the field and nearly 45 percent from three-point range, matching UMass Dartmouth's 50 percent clip overall, and stayed aggressive offensively throughout. The regular season home slate concluded with the Beacons honoring their senior class in front of a season-high crowd of 450.
