Women's Basketball Wins Fourth Straight In Johnson

Johnson, VT. (Nov. 23, 2025) – The UMass Boston women's basketball team (4-0)  picked up a dominant road win on Sunday against the VTSU-Johnson Badgers (1-4), rallying from a halftime deficit before completely taking control in the second half. After trailing 29–22 at the break, the Beacons erupted for a 32–8 third quarter, swinging all the momentum and putting the game out of reach.

Junior guard Hialeah Turner-Foster (Mashpee, MA.) led the offense with 16 points on 8–15 shooting, while senior guard Tatiannah Fevry (Dracut, MA.) added 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals in another all-around performance. Freshman guard Kaydie Sturm (North Broward, Mass) provided a major spark off the bench, knocking down three triples and finishing with 11 points and 4 rebounds.

The Beacons' defense and pressure were difference-makers all game long, forcing the Badgers into turnovers that turned into 30 Beacons points the other way. The Beacons also dominated inside, finishing with 32 points in the paint and holding the Badgers to just 14.

Once the Beacons found their rhythm in the third quarter, the energy on the bench only grew. They kept the pace high in the fourth and closed things out with a strong team finish.

Hunting to grow their record to 5-0, the Beacons will face off against the Southern Maine Huskies for their first conference game on Wednesday, December 3, in the Clark Gymnasium.
