BOSTON, MA (January 15, 2025) – The UMass Boston women's basketball team will travel north to Plymouth, N.H., to continue the Little East Conference regular season on Thursday, January 16 at 5:00 p.m. against Plymouth State.
History:
- In the last ten matchups between the two teams, the Beacons are 8-2 overall and 4-1 when they travel to Plymouth. Over the same ten-game span, the Beacons have averaged 62 points per game.
This Season:
- The Beacons (5-10, 2-4 LEC) have gone 3-3 in their last six games, including a thrilling win on January 11, when they defeated the Keene State Owls 50-47 to secure their first LEC victory of 2025.
- Sophomore forward Sabanna Berrios (Providence, R.I.) has continued her strong season, leading the Beacons in scoring (10.9 PPG) and rebounds (7.5 RPG).
- Sophomore Hialeah Turner-Foster (Mashpee, Mass.) is also averaging double digits in points with 10.3 PPG.
- First-year Ashleigh Lagor (Millbury, Mass.) has been solid in her rookie season, averaging 8.1 PPG in 25.5 minutes per contest.
- Junior guard Tatiannah Fevry (Dracut, Mass.) is averaging 2.4 steals per game as one of the premiere perimeter defenders in the LEC.
- Sophomore Vanessa Bucha (Aschnuet, Mass.) has found her stroke from beyond the arch since the calendar flipped to 2025, connecting for seven 3-point field goals in her last four games.
- The Panthers (3-10, 0-5 LEC) have dropped their last two games against Rhode Island College (47-70), and Vermont State Castleton (61-63). As a unit, the Panthers average 49.4 points per game, led by Sophie George with 9.0 PPG.
