BOSTON, MA (January 15, 2025) – The UMass Boston men's basketball team will head north to Plymouth, N.H., on Thursday, January 16, as they continue the Little East Conference regular season schedule against the Plymouth State Panthers at 7:00 p.m.

Previously:

• The last matchup between the Beacons and the Panthers saw UMass Boston take a thrilling 76-74 victory on the road in February of 2024, with Manny Zayas pouring in 30-point, nine rebounds and nine assists. The Beacons have won six of their last ten meetings with the Panthers heading into Thursday night, including six wins in Plymouth since 2014.

This Season:

• Emanuel Zayas (Hollywood, Fla.) was the 18th UMass Boston student-athlete to join the 1,000-point club when he surpassed the threshold on January 4th vs. Salem State.
• As a team, the Beacons are scoring 77.6 points per game (43.6% FG, 33.9% 3PT, 65.8% FT), to go along with 37.8 rebounds, 12.9 assists, 9.9 steals, and 3.5 blocks per game.
• The duo of Zayas (16.0 PPG) and first-year guard Raphel Laurent (Peabody, Mass.) (10.0 PPG) have led the way offensively for the Beacons.
• Graduate Mark Barrett (Brookline, Mass.) and sophomore Hector Perez (Peabody, Mass.) have each knocked down 13 3-point field goals this year.
• The Plymouth State Panthers (8-5, 2-3 LEC) enter Thursday's meeting fresh off a 90-64 win over the Vermont State University Castleton Spartans. As a unit, the Panthers score 77.7 points per game (45.4% FG, 35.9% 3PT, 70.7 FT), led by Kevin Henry with a team-high 16.3 PPG and 6.0 rebounds per game
