BOSTON, MA (November 18, 2024) – The UMass Boston women's basketball team will return to the Clark Athletic Center on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. against Connecticut College in a non-conference matchup.
Previously:

• The Beacons and the Camels have a short history spanning just two games. They have split the games with the Camels winning the first matchup in the 90's, and the Beacons winning in 2001 (75-51). This meeting will mark the first between the two from the Clark Athletic Center. Against the Camels, the Beacons average 55.5 points.

This Season:

• The Beacons are 0-2 to start the season. In game two against Curry College, the Beacons fought hard and led for most of the game but fell just short in the fourth quarter. The new look offense is beginning to settle in, with first-year Ashleigh Lagor (Millbury, Mass.) leading the offensive front with 11.5 points per game (PPG) in 30.5 minutes per game through the first two of the season. Sophomore forward Sabanna Berrios (Providence, R.I.) is just behind her with 10 PPG in the first two of the season. The junior leadership of Sibayla Jensen (Portland, Ore.), Tatiannah Fevry (Dracut, Mass.), and Beeban Jikiemi-Pearson (BJP) (London, Eng.) have stepped up as leaders to the young core. Fevry and Jensen combined for seven steals per game, and BJP leads the team in 3PM.
• The Camels are 2-0 to start the season against Mitchell College (95-47), and Hartford College (68-41). The top two offensive options for the Camels, Sophomore guard Mia Xerras and forward Addi Hunter, combine for 28.5 PPG (14.5/ 14.0 PPG). Hunter leads the way on the glass with six boards per game and is a leading playmaker with three assists per game. As a unit, they average 8.5 steals per game.
