PROVIDENCE, R.I. - UMass Boston Women's Basketball fell to 0-3 on the road this season, dropping a matchup with defending Little East Conference champions Rhode Island College on Saturday afternoon, 90-40.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Anchorwomen jumped out to an early lead on Saturday, taking a 16-2 lead into the second quarter. The Beacons chipped away at the lead, getting baskets from five different scorers to cut the deficit to 42-14 at the half.

The third quarter was the best of the afternoon for UMass Boston. Paige Olivierre knocked down back-to-back three-pointers and Sophie Bradbury put in three shots from the floor. Each of them finished with a team-high eight points.

The Anchorwomen racked up another high-scoring frame in the fourth, putting the game away by a final score of 90-40.

BY THE NUMBERS

• Maylina Santiago scored a career-high four points including a three-pointer for her first career field goal
• Bradbury has led the Beacons in scoring three times as a freshman

WHO'S NEXT
The Beacons will hit the road on Tuesday night for a non-conference matchup with the Lions of Eastern Nazarene College at 5 PM. Currently an assistant coach for Eastern Nazarene, Meg Dixon was a 1,000-point scorer at UMass Boston from 2018-2023.
