BABSON PARK, Mass. – A 10-goal first half lifted the Beavers of Babson College to a 17-11 win over lacrosse Wednesday evening at MacDowell Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Jacob Banks led the Beacons attack with a career-high five goals, all of which came in the final quarter. UMass Boston finished with seven goals over the final 15 minutes, as they tried to mount an impressive comeback.
Babson managed to keep their distance on the scoreboard with three goals to secure their first win over UMass Boston since 2012.
The Beavers jumped out to an early 3-0 lead through the first minutes, before tacking on seven goals in the second to take a 10-3 lead into the break. They then tacked on four more goals in the third, while holding UMB's attack to just the one tally.
Gavin Admirand had a solid day scoring twice, while also picking-up a pair of assists. The senior finished with a season-high seven ground balls, and had one of the team's six caused turnovers.

Jack Dobrzynski finished 13-for-22, with seven ground balls.

- Wednesday's contest marked the first meeting between UMass Boston and Babson since 2012
