SALEM, Mass. -
Zach Mann scored six-goals as lacrosse shattered season-bests in every offensive category, rolling to a 30-9 victory over Salem State University Saturday evening at Alumni Field.

THE BASICS:
UMass Boston 30, Salem State 9

UMass Boston (8-1, 2-0 LEC)
Salem State (5-4, 0-2 LEC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Lacrosse got back on the winning track with a record-breaking offensive performance against the Vikings.

The Beacons got to work immediately as
Michael Claflin, the team's second leading goal and point-scorer, netted his first goal of the day just 13 seconds into the game. Claflin would go on to net 5 goals in the game.

After an equalizing goal by Salem State, UMB owned the rest of the first quarter. The Beacons netted 13 goals in the first, their most in a quarter this season by a wide margin. Five of the 13 goals came from
Zach Mann, who would finish the day with six scores.

When the horn sounded to end the first half, the Beacons were leading by a score of 20-2. Mann's six first half goals and
Gavin Admirand's 10 first half points were both more than any UMB player had accounted for in an entire game this season.

Starting goalie
Christian Meinhold allowed just two goals in his 30 minutes in net, recording 10 saves. Saturday's game was Meinhold's first win of the season.
