DANBURY, Conn. – A strong second half performance from the WestConn offense led by senior guard Kendall Robinson's 26-point night led the Wolves, who received votes in this week's D3Hoops.com Top 25 Poll, to a 16-point victory, 82-66, against UMass Boston Men's Basketball on Tuesday night on the road.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After WestConn led 3-0, UMass Boston would embark on a 14-2 run as sophomore guard
Emanuel Zayas hit back-to-back threes to kick off the run before the four other starters on the floor recorded points during the offensive attack, giving them a 14-5 lead. The Wolves responded with a 9-0 run to tie the game up at 14 points with 10:45 remaining in the first half.
The two teams would combine for three lead changes and four ties, bringing the game to a 29-29 tie with 5:15 left in the first half. Robinson would kick off a 6-0 run for the Wolves who took a 35-29 lead. Senior forward Ryan Alkins and senior forward Jahiem Young helped spur a 10-0 run from the Wolves to start the second half, making it 50-36. WestConn would break open a 20-point lead with 6:41 remaining in the game following an 13-3 run after the Beacons closed their deficit to 11 points, making it 67-47.
A brief 4-0 run from sophomore guard
Malik Brooms and freshman guard Nye-Key Armstrong would bring UMass Boston within 16 points, as WestConn would remain undefeated overall and in Little East Conference play, downing the Beacons 82-66.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Senior forward Malik Lorquet finished with his fifth double-double of the season, scoring 15 points and grabbing 13 rebounds
