BOSTON, Mass. – Eight different players registered at-least one goal to lift men's lacrosse to a 19-11 non-conference win over Massachusetts Maritime Academy Saturday afternoon at James Cotter Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
With the win, UMass Boston extends their win-streak to nine-straight games dating back to the 2020 season.
Gavin Admirand (Marshfield, Mass.) was once again the driving force behind the Beacons attack, as he tallied six goals in the win. UMass Boston dominated the offensive third of the field through the first two quarters as they outscored MMA 11-3.
The final two stanzas were a back-and-forth affair as MMA tried to make a late comeback. UMass Boston edged the Buccaneers in the third quarter five goals to four, while the fourth MMA outscored the Beacons 4-3.
Also having a strong day for the Beacons attack was
Donovan Prozinski (Ashland, Mass.) who ended the afternoon with three goals and an assist.
Darragh Fahey (Walpole, Mass.) quarterbacked the Beacons attack, as the junior handed out six assists. He also netted a pair of goals to match Admirand for the team high in points with eight.
Face-off man
Jack Dobrzynski (West Greenwich, R.I.) had a busy afternoon as faced-off with Colby Unterstein. Dobrzynski, who recently tied the NCAA record for face-off wins in a contest with 36, which he set on Thursday against WestConn, went 19-for-32 on the "x". He also grabbed 10 groundballs to cap-off Saturday's win.
Mitchell Maida led the Buccaneers with eight points, after finishing with six goals and two assists. Trey Guerrini notched one goal and three assists, while Spencer Jones was the only other player to record multiple goals.
Between the pipes,
Christian Meinhold made his first collegiate start and made an impressive 24 saves to earn his first career win.
Viktor Wright was handed the loss after surrendering eight goals through the first quarter. Peter Raei closed out the contest and allowed 11 goals, while making 10 saves.
