HOW IT HAPPENED

The Cadets got on the scoreboard less than five minutes into the opening period with Saige Biddle scoring an unassisted goal off a Beacons turnover. Mikah Baptiste made it a 2-0 affair around the midway point as she knocked-in her own rebound from point blank range.

Norwich would then add three goals in the second period to take total control of the momentum.

The final goal of the evening for Norwich came on the power-play with Melianne Reynolds finding the back of the net for her first collegiate goal.

UMass Boston ended the shutout bid, with a goal from Margeaux Butters (Snohomish, Wash.), the first of her college career. Butters squeezed the puck past Norwich's Alex Berg, with the assists going to Liz Kramp (Farmington Hills, Mich.) and Rachael Burum (Marshfield, Mass.).

For the second straight game Victoria Kennedy (Winthrop, Mass.) was solid between the pipes as she made 31 saves. Berg combined for 22 stops to earn her first win of the season.
