Box Score EAST BOSTON, Mass. – UMass Boston scored four of their five goals on the power-play to win their seventh-straight New England Hockey Conference contest over host Suffolk University Saturday afternoon at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
With tonight's win the Beacons have tied the 2009-10 team for the longest conference winning streak at seven games. Throughout this streak, UMass Boston has outscored NEHC opponents 26-2
Erica Lunn (Kingston, Mass.) opened up the scoring with a power-play goal almost midway through the first period off the stick of Mia Sacco (Plymouth, Mass.)
Sacco later netted her own goal just two minutes into the second period, Katie Leffler (Key Largo, Fla.) and Kelsey Ryan (Burlington, Mass.) picked up the assists on the play.
Leffler dangled her way to the net to score the game-winning goal halfway through the game. Madison Duff kept the Rams in the game with a power-play goal just three minutes later.
The third period brought three power-play goals, two from UMass Boston and a final one from Suffolk University. Leffler notched her team-leading ninth goal of the season just two minutes into the final period. Cailey Kozich (Wexford, Pa.) joined the scoring action five minutes later sealing the game for the Beacons. Maddy Burton secured her name on the scoring sheet with a goal 12 minutes into the period.
In net for the Beacons, Caty Flagg (Methuen, Mass.) made 39 saves on 41 shots to boost her record to 11-7-1

- Flagg now has the second-best goals against average (1.79), and third-best save percentage (.934) in the NEHC
- UMass Boston has now won seven-straight conference games, tying the program record which was set back in the 2009-10 season
- With tonight's game-winner, Leffler leads the NEHC in game-winning goals (3)
