Box Score WILLIMANTIC, Conn. – A 22-4 run in the opening minutes of Tuesday's Little East Conference Tournament game propelled top-seeded Eastern Connecticut State University to a 93-65 win over men's basketball at Francis E. Geissler Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Warriors, who were led by Kevin Leumene's game-high 21 points, will host the "Final Four" of this year's conference tournament, which is scheduled to begin on Friday. Leumene was solid all night for ECSU as he shot 8-for-13 from the field, 3-for-5 from 3-point range.
As a team, the Warriors played one of their best games in recent weeks, as they shot 48.6% from the field, 56.3% from distance. At the charity stripe, they shot 72.7%. On the glass, ECSU also held a 50-34 advantage in the first round victory.
For the Beacons, senior Michael Campbell (Boston, Mass.) ended his college career with a team-high 18 points. Fellow senior Quadry Allen (White Castle, La.) dropped in 15 points in his final game as a member of the men's basketball program. Junior Sam Freeman (Boston, Mass.) led UMass Boston on the glass, as he grabbed six boards, while also finishing with 10 points.
The first half run for the Warriors was fueled by Leumene's 16 points, while Trachone Preston also got in on the action with his 11 points. Campbell was the leading scorer for the Beacons in the first 20 minutes as he combined for just seven points.
