Danielle Burke enters her second season as assistant coach for the Beacons' women’s lacrosse program. 

A standout Division I goalkeeper, Burke started her collegiate career at Longwood University from 2018-2020, recording 182 saves over two seasons. 

She then transferred to Gardner-Webb where she earned her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science. She ranks among the top goalkeepers in Big South history, with career marks of: 2nd in saves (526), saves per game (8.92), minutes played (3020:30), and wins (24). Notable career highlights include surpassing 500 career saves and ranks 6th in school history for ground balls. In 2022, she earned All-Big South Second-Team honors, becoming the first GWU goalkeeper to receive postseason recognition.

Off the field, Danielle enjoys spending time with her German Shepard, Diesel.
