Adam Blake is entering his 10th season at UMASS Boston in 2025-26.

While at UMASS Boston, Blake has been responsible for recruiting and bringing in an LEC Rookie of the Year , a Defensive Player of the Year, three First Team All-LEC selections, and four 1000 point scorers.

A native of Reston, Virginia, Blake played for Washington D.C. area power South Lakes High School. He went on to play and graduate from Lynchburg College. 

He continued his athletic career by playing three years of minor league football in New England with the North Shore Generals, Boston Bandits, and Rhode Island Wardogs, followed by two seasons of Pro and Arena football in the Washington DC area with the DC explosion and Maryland Force. He then went back to basketball and was part of an ABA expansion team, the NOVA Wonders in Northern Virginia in 2011.

Adams first collegiate coaching came with Division 2 Franklin Pierce University. Before Franklin Peirce, he served as an assistant coach at Barnstable County High School for two seasons. He then served as an assistant coach and junior varsity head coach at the Lexington Christian Academy helped the team to an EIL conference tournament championship. Blake was also heavily involved in the Boston city AAU scene, having coached for the Boston Warriors AAU program for three years, He worked multiple camps, tournaments, and showcases for Hoop Mountain, Hoop Group, Zero Gravity, Hoop Rootz, and has covered showcases for the New England Recruiting Report (NERR).

Outside of UMASS Boston, Adam is the founder, owner, general manager, and Head Coach of the ABAs (American Basketball Association) Massachusetts Wolves, a minor league team based in southeastern Massachusetts. In 2025, the Wolves won the Northeast Division championship and produced 3 All ABA players.
