MILTON, Mass. (April 20, 2026) – UMass Boston Baseball (17-14, 5-5 Little East Conference) exploded for 19 runs in a 19-9 victory over Curry (6-20), snapping a two-game skid behind one of the most complete offensive performances of the season.
How it Happened
Both teams traded early blows in a 4-4 first inning, but the Beacons steadily pulled away — plating two runs in the second, and erupting for seven in the third to take a 13-4 lead. They added two in the fourth and sixth, and two in the seventh. UMass Boston scored in every inning but the fifth.
Dylan Kennedy-Fujah (North Branford, Conn.) reached base four times, scored four runs, drove in three, and went 2-for-4 with a double and a stolen base. Paden Larkins (Shelton, Conn.) went 3-for-4 with a double, his first collegiate home run, two RBI, and three runs scored. Nicolas Piscioniere (Shelton, Conn.) delivered a career-best three-hit, four-RBI game, also stealing a base. Andrew Carlson (Northboro, Mass.) collected his first two career hits. The first of which, a homerun bomb over the left field fence that drove in two runs including Piscioniere. Wes Sturrup (Rochester, NY) chipped in with a triple, a double, and three RBI.
Seven pitchers combined on the mound for UMass Boston, with Cameron Tomaszycki (Taunton, Mass.) earning his first collegiate win, tossing 1.2 innings and allowing one earned run. The Beacons drew five walks, were hit by a season-high seven pitches, and went 3-for-3 on stolen base attempts.
