Boston, Mass. (January 6, 2026) — The UMass Boston women's basketball team extended its winning streak to three games with a 66–44 victory over Western Connecticut State University Tuesday afternoon in the Clark Athletic Center.
The Beacons and Wolves were evenly matched through the opening quarter. Madison Haggett got off to a strong start, scoring nine of UMass Boston's 11 points, as the teams were tied 11–11 at the end of the first.
Haggett stayed hot in the second quarter, knocking down two three-pointers and once again leading the Beacons with six points. UMass Boston carried a 29–24 advantage into halftime, a lead they would not relinquish.
The Beacons took control in the third quarter, outscoring the Wolves 19–7 behind balanced scoring. Hialeah Turner-Foster led the way with six points in the frame, followed by Sibayla Jensen with five and Jordis Tautalatasi with four.
UMass Boston closed the game strong, receiving perfect shooting down the stretch from Ashleigh Lagor (2-for-2, four points) and Tautalatasi (3-for-3, six points) to secure the 66–44 win.
Haggett led all scorers with 15 points, while Tautalatasi added 14. Turner-Foster was active on the defensive end, forcing a team-high five steals.
