Gorham, ME (January 28, 2026) — Despite a career-high 14 points from Mia Molinari, the UMass Boston women's basketball team fell 74–51 on the road to No. 25 University of Southern Maine Wednesday night.
Southern Maine set the tone early, knocking down four three-pointers on seven attempts in the first quarter. The Beacons found more offensive rhythm in the second quarter, but the Huskies continued their hot shooting from beyond the arc, draining five more threes to take a 45–26 lead into halftime.
The Huskies outscored UMass Boston 16–10 in the third quarter before the Beacons closed strong in the fourth, winning the final frame 15–13. However, the deficit proved too large to overcome as UMass Boston fell 74–51.
Molinari led the Beacons with 14 points on an efficient 7-for-8 shooting performance, more than doubling her previous career high of six points. She also added three rebounds and one steal.
Jordis Tautalatasi followed with 12 points and led the team with five rebounds and four steals. Tautalatasi and Sibayla Jensen each finished with three assists.
