Plymouth, N.H. (Jan. 23, 2026) — The UMass Boston women's ice hockey team dropped a 4–1 decision to Plymouth State University in Little East Conference action on Friday evening.
The Panthers opened the scoring at the 8:48 mark of the first period and carried that momentum into the second, doubling their lead early in the frame. Plymouth State appeared to make it 3–0 midway through the period, but the goal was waved off due to interference, giving the Beacons a reprieve.
UMass Boston capitalized on the opportunity shortly after, as Adrianna Kelsch netted her second goal of the season—and of her career—on a breakaway. Kelsch converted on a feed from Darby Rounseville, who recorded her second assist of the season and has now tallied assists in back-to-back games for the Beacons.
Despite the momentum swing, UMass Boston was unable to find the net again and was held scoreless in the third period.
Plymouth State held a slight edge in shots, outshooting the Beacons 30–26. Leah Bosch made 26 saves in net for UMass Boston. Maggie Lynch and Shea Nolan led the Beacons with four shots apiece, while Mia Boyd paced the defense with three blocked shots. Emily Hansen added two blocks.
