Keene, N.H. (January 10, 2026) — The UMass Boston men's ice hockey team defeated the Keene State Owls in dominant fashion Saturday night in Little East Conference action.

The Beacons went on the power play just 38 seconds into the game. Eleven seconds later, on their first shot of the power play and second shot overall, Steven Spetz found the back of the net off an assist from Rhett Kodsi

UMass Boston's fast start continued when Jake Lindstrom scored at the 2:03 mark, assisted by Colin Richard and Jakub Teply. Zander Lizotte capped off the first-period scoring with a power-play goal, assisted by Jazz Krivtsov and Jude Kurtas, giving the Beacons a 3–0 lead heading into the first intermission.

Both teams were held scoreless in the second period, as Beacons goaltender Connor McDonough made 15 saves to preserve the lead.

Keene State got on the board with a power-play goal in the third period, but UMass Boston answered back. Krivtsov sealed the win with a goal assisted by Jack Mortson and Kurtas, securing the 4–1 final.
