Beacons Close Out Mayor’s Cup Against SUNY Oneonta

ONEONTA, N.Y. (September 7, 2025) – The UMass Boston men's soccer team (2-1-2) wrapped up its weekend New York road trip with a hard-fought effort against host SUNY Oneonta in the Mayor's Cup finale, ultimately falling 2-0 to the Red Dragons.

The Beacons battled throughout, generating six total shots – four on target – but were unable to break through the Red Dragons' back line. Oneonta capitalized with goals in the 29th and 50th minutes to secure the home victory.
