Bristol, R.I. (Sept. 27, 2025) — UMass Boston dropped a hard-fought 3-1 decision to Roger Williams University on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action. The first three sets were decided by identical 25-23 scores, with the Hawks taking sets one and three, and the Beacons claiming set two. Roger Williams sealed the match with a 25-16 win in the fourth set.
The Beacons posted a team hitting percentage of .215 across four sets. Audrey Cofield led the team in efficiency, hitting .429 with 3 kills on 7 attempts while Lauren Westlund paced the offense with a season-high 14 kills, closely followed by Paige Coulson with 13.
Cofield also set a new season high with 37 assists and added 15 digs defensively. Addie Blomgren and Mary Denny were strong at the net, recording 5 and 4 blocks, respectively.
