Boston, Mass. (Sept. 27, 2025) — The UMass Boston women's soccer team earned a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Keene State in Little East Conference action on Saturday afternoon.
Sofia Schallmo opened the scoring in the 53rd minute, finishing off a pass from Daniella Celotto for her sixth goal of the season. The Owls responded 13 minutes later with a well-placed volley from Elizabeth Tschudin to even the match at 1-1.
UMass Boston held a slight edge in total shots, 19-17, while Keene State led in shots on target, 8-5.
Freshman goalkeeper Janiya Matier matched her career high with 7 saves, helping to preserve the tie. She now holds a .815 save percentage and a 1.11 goals-against average on the season.
