South Hadley, Mass. (Sept. 17, 2025) — The UMass Boston Beacons volleyball team spoiled Mount Holyoke's home opener in their newly renovated Mildred S. Howard Gymnasium on Wednesday night, earning a 3-1 victory.

After dropping the first set 25-18, the Beacons responded with three straight wins to take the match. The team closed it out in dominant fashion, posting their most efficient hitting percentage of the season (.414) in the fourth and final set.

It was a true team effort, with several players notching career and season highs.
