Boston, Mass. (Sept. 13, 2025) — The UMass Boston women's tennis team opened Little East Conference (LEC) play in commanding fashion on Saturday, shutting out the Wolves of Western Connecticut State, 7-0. 

Doubles 

The Beacons dropped just one game across all three doubles matches: 

• At #1 Doubles, Zainab Patel and Althea Bradley swept Ava Ciampi and Kate Robinson, 6-0. 

• In the #2 spot, Tatiana Malone and Sandra Watson rolled to a 6-1 win over Erickah Tertulien and Eilynn Pierre. 

• At #3 Doubles, Maya Rubenstein and Shreya Saravana Rakshana posted another 6-0 sweep. 

Singles 

UMass Boston continued their dominance in singles play, winning all six matches. 

• #1 Singles: Zainab Patel def. Erickah Tertulien, 6-0, 6-0 

• #2 Singles: Tatiana Malone def. opponent, 6-1, 6-2 

• #3 Singles: Althea Bradley def. Eilynn Pierre, 6-1, 6-0 

• #4 Singles: Shreya Saravana Rakshana def. opponent, 6-1, 6-0 

• #5 Singles: Maya Rubenstein def. opponent, 6-0, 6-4 

• #6 Singles: Karina Khalsa def. Elsie Sabol, 6-0, 6-0
