Plymouth, NH. (Sep. 20, 2025) --- The UMass Boston Beacons played their second LEC match of the season with a dominating win over Plymouth State University, beating them 7-0.
Doubles:
Zainab Patel and Althea Bradley secured the first win for the Beacons. However, Sandra Watson and Tatiana Malone lost their match leaving it to the senior duo to help secure the point for doubles. Seniors Shreya Saravana Rakshana and Maya Rubenstein won their match securing the team a point for doubles.
Singles:
- #1 Singles, Zainab Patel defeated Alyssa Craigie, 6-1, 6-0.
- #2 Singles, Sandra Watson dominated her match, securing a 6-0, 6-0 win over Chole Ahern.
- #3 Singles, Tatiana Malone defeated Sofia Orama, 6-1, 6-2.
- #4 Singles, Althea Bradley defeated Lauryn Carrigan 7-6(7-3), 6-4.
- #5 Singles, Shreya Saravana Rakshana defeated Maddie Lorenz, 7-5, 6-4.
- #6 Singles, Maya Rubenstein defeated Sarah Lamy, 6-2, 6-4.
Juniors Sandra Watson and Zainab Patel clinched huge, dominating wins, adding two more points for the team. Tatiana Malone defeated Sofia Orama to secure a team victory for the Beacs. Maya Rubenstein, Shreya Saravana Rakshana, and Althea Bradley soon followed with their wins to secure a 7-0 win against the PSU Panthers.

The Beacons are scheduled to play on Monday, September 22nd for a non-conference matchup against Endicott College. The match is set to start at 2pm.
